THSOA-Southeast Chapter nominations for the Board is now open. Elections to be held January 17-24, 2018
The Hydrographic Society of America-Southeast Chapter (http://www.thsoa.org/Southeast-Chapter) is a non-profit organization which seeks to educate its members and the general public about hydrographic surveying and related fields. The officers are all volunteers and receive no compensation for their time and efforts. With leadership and drive from the top, this chapter can continue to provide scholarships to students in our region and also to provide informative presentations and social events. We need dedicated individuals to help give some time back to their profession!
We are hoping that others with energy and some time will step forward to help the chapter to continue moving forward.
Beginning the 1st of November, the chapter will accept nominations for members to serve in the following roles
Membership & Student Liaison Chair (Will Chair sub-committee made of a member from each state we represent - Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Carolina).
If you are able to donate some of your time and effort to the chapter, you will consider running for one of the positions. Once nominations have closed (Jan 17, 2018), we’ll hold an on-line election for Chapter members for positions with two or more nominees. Additional voting (for people who didn't vote on-line) and results will be announced at our AGM on January 24, 2018
Nominations may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com We’ll check with each nominee to confirm their willingness to serve.
