Come join us for the Southeast Chapter’s 5th Annual Gumbo Rumble on the Levee Wednesday December 16, 2015 at Pat’s Fisherman’s Wharf in Henderson.
Enter your team. All gumbo will be cooked on site with roux made from scratch or store bought. Each team should be prepared to provide their own ingredients, pot, propane and burner and prepare enough gumbo for 30-50 people (Table decorations and giveaways are encouraged). The chapter will provide the rice, bread, potato salad, green salad, bowls and utensils. Contact Linda Guillory or Kim Dailey to enter your team and for additional information.
This year there will be two categories– Surf Gumbo (Seafood) and Turf Gumbo (Chicken, duck, turkey).
Awards will be given for 1st place and runner up in each category and the Mystery Swamp Monster (Most unique presentation or ingredient), plus the Fan Favorite.
All proceeds from this event will go toward funding the Southeast chapter’s Student Scholarship Awards program.
