Responsibilities
As a Physical Scientist, you will perform the following duties:
- Deploy up to 180 days a year to survey vessels to maintain proficiency in acquiring, processing, and analyzing hydrographic data, including all the ancillary data used to transform raw bathymetric soundings to chart datum.
- Provide input and implement new policy to ensure continuous process improvement.
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of new hydrographic systems and new software and and systems.
- Compile maps, charts, smooth sheets and other cartographic products from hydrographic and bathymetric data.
